Sago sits in the heart of Sector 26, Chandigarh. The room is terracotta, cream, and warm gold. The chairs invite long evenings. The kitchen does the rest.
Every dish begins with homemade masalas, freshly ground spice, and chefs recruited from the specific regional kitchens their food belongs to. The Sona Murgh Kebab. The Hyderabadi Dum Biryani. The Lagan Ka Murgh. The Dal Makhni that takes the better part of a day to reach your table. These are not interpretations. They are the thing itself.
From the Awadhi courts to the coastal kitchens of Kerala, from Rajasthani laal maas to the Mughal-inflected kebabs of the north, the menu draws from a tradition that is older and wider than any single region. Come with an appetite. Leave knowing India a little better.

Our Story
Sago opened in December 2023 with a single intention: to give Indian fine dining a room worthy of it. A room with character, with warmth, with no apologies for serving a cuisine that is already extraordinary on its own terms.
The name is borrowed from the sago pearl, a humble ingredient that quietly appears in the food traditions of every Indian region. It is the right metaphor for what happens here: not one cuisine presented as definitive, but many, gathered with care and presented with pride.
